Conquer Noise, and Conquer Life
How to create internal peace in a world full of noise
Step outside.
Everywhere you turn, there is noise.
I’m not just talking about cars swooshing by, the obnoxious exhausts, or the daily traffic sounds.
Or the loud planes headed to some destination, the never-ending construction going on what seems to be around every corner.
Or the sound of landscapers blowing leaves from the start of the morning on every block - trust me they will find you!
Maybe we have grown accustomed to these sounds.
It is, after all, the way of life now (unless you live in the countryside).
But what I'm really talking about is the noise of endless to-do lists and running thoughts in our heads. Where are these thoughts running to, and why?
Do we even stop to ask ourselves?
Does your mind ever rest when you’re awake?
It may be this lifestyle of always having to go somewhere, or the pressure of always having to do something, that creates all these racing thoughts.
It’s one of the many reasons why people natural-ly gravitate towards nature. Being out in the wilderness, away from all the street sounds, allows our mind to take a step back and rest. A mirror effect that can work both ways; creating peace from within.
In the midst of chaos, you can create internal calmness. Like a cloak, it can shield you from all the outside noise.
The truth is, it's in the calmness and stillness of our day-to-day life that our mind can finally catch up - and meet ourself in the present moment.
A constant game.
The importance of inner reflection is underrated and not utilized enough in today's fast-paced ‘racing to an unknown finish line’ society.
Maybe that’s the moral behind ‘The Tortoise and the Hare.’ Slow and steady wins the race.
It's when we slow down and recognize how we feel; accepting where we are mentally, that we are then able to see more clearly and make the right decisions.
Owning the moment while re-owning ourselves in the process.
Take yourself back!
Then, through the choices you make with a sound mind, step forward as the highest version of yourself.
This is the recipe to changing the outcome of any circumstance.
With a sound mind, there is no noise you can't conquer!
You decide what to tune into, like choosing a station on the radio. Don't forget to enjoy your morning cup of tea (or coffee), take the time to sit and think, and to stop and smell the sweet scent of nature all around.
Breathe in the calmness.
Catching up with yourself is more important than you think.
It’s in the moments you own that you are able to aim clearly for the life you want to live.
Own the moment and you own yourself!
A sound mind is worth more than gold in an age with noise all around, inside and out.
You are the ruler of your own kingdom.
Master the mind and watch your world around you transform.
Your transformation awaits.
